Course Description:

Researchers have discovered that the practice of self-compassion is associated with a multitude of benefits, such as greater life satisfaction, increased happiness, improved relationships, decreased depression and anxiety, and greater resilience. In this workshop we will discuss self-compassion and loving kindness and explore many ways to apply love and compassion in your busy everyday personal and work life. This workshop will help you learn how to treat yourself kindly, and provide simple tools for responding in a warm, compassionate ways whenever you are dealing with painful emotions or in times of struggle. It will show you how to quiet that critical inner voice. As a result, you’ll change your brain and remove self-defeating patterns and habits. You’ll learn how to focus on self-compassion and self-forgiveness, which can both be utilized to boost your discipline and willpower.

This 1.5 hour workshop provides valuable tools that can help you integrate self-compassion into your daily life.

 Learn how to use Self-Compassion & Compassion during stressful times without getting emotionally swept away.

 Discover and practice techniques for stilling the mind, calmly but compassionately and fully embracing the sorrows of life without being overwhelmed by them.

 Learn how to maintain an open-hearted attitude of loving kindness and experience the benefits of it.

 Explore Self-Compassion as a form of mindfulness that helps you avoid the shame, self-criticism, defensiveness, and denial that often exacerbate ordinary life problems.

With a deep understanding of the mind-body relationship, she fuses findings in the fields of neuroscience, and psychology with compassion and mindfulness practices that will inspire you to heal from within.
